NCDOT Announces New Legislative and Policy Leader

This information is regarding the appointment of a new Deputy Secretary for Legislative Affairs at NCDOT.  Please see below the letter from Secretary Tata:

Team,

We are proud to announce that Keith Weatherly will join our team as Deputy Secretary for Legislative Affairs and Policy effective January 25.  Keith's role is part of several additional leadership changes announced last week to help NCDOT continue to operate more efficiently and better serve citizens.

Since 1995, Keith has served as Mayor of Apex and on a Transportation Advisory Committee with the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.  He also has five years of experience working in the North Carolina General Assembly, most recently as the Chief of Staff of House Speaker Pro Tem Paul Stam.

Before that, Keith worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency for more than 20 years.

We are proud to have Keith join our team.  His extensive experience working with the General Assembly, local governments, and transportation planning organizations will help NCDOT continue to find better solutions that improve the lives of all North Carolinians and visitors to our state.

LaNica Allison will continue to serve with NCDOT as Deputy Secretary for Assets and Federal Programs.  In that role LaNica will lead asset modernization efforts that are an important, strategic focus of the Governor and my office.  She will continue to oversee The Governor's Highway Safety program and coordinate a number of federal grant programs.

Thank you again for all of your hard work and service.

Secretary Tata
